Tristan was born and raised in Austin, Texas. He graduated from Gateway College Preparatory School in 2021. He then enrolled at Austin Community College in 2023 and successfully transferred to Brown University in 2024. He is currently studying chemical engineering and entrepreneurship as a rising junior. Actively attending Brown, he has recent experience with test preparation and university application refinement.

David grew up in Denver, Colorado and attended Eaglecrest High School, where he graduated as valedictorian. He is currently pursuing his undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Physics at Duke University. David has a strong background in youth mentorship and education, having founded and led a College Prep Club in high school that focused on SAT/ACT prep, college applications, and academic coaching. He has tutored students in a range of subjects and has helped students from diverse backgrounds navigate the college admissions process. David also has experience in data analysis, Python-based algorithmic projects, and is exploring future opportunities in consulting.

Tanisha grew up in both Philadelphia and Mumbai, attending Jamnabai Narsee International School in Mumbai before completing high school at Conestoga High School in the suburbs of Philadelphia. She is currently a freshman at the University of Pennsylvania, pursuing a dual major in International Relations and Cognitive Science, with a minor in Middle Eastern Studies. Having recently completed her first year of college, Tanisha brings fresh insight into the college admissions process and the transition from high school to college. As someone who experienced high school in two different countries, she is familiar with adapting to new environments and navigating cross-cultural differences—skills that continue to shape her academic and extracurricular journey at Penn. With a strong foundation in both the humanities and STEM, she understands how to balance a demanding course load across disciplines and leverage skills from both fields—critical thinking, data analysis, and effective communication—to thrive academically.

Rivkah grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and attended Yeshivah of Flatbush. She is currently attending Yale University, getting a combined B.S./M.S. in Molecular Biophysics & Biochemistry. She has worked in animal care, education, and administration and is currently an educator at Temple Israel of Westport and a data manager at NorthWild Travel. She has experience mentoring students from her community in college admissions and tutoring for the SAT.

Hello! My name is Lauren, a rising junior at Northwestern University. I am currently studying Psychology, Global Health, and Learning and Organizational Change, with hopes of working within higher education (admissions, student affairs, orientation, etc.) to ensure new students have a great experience in college. Outside of academics, I am a part of Dale Duro Latin Dance Company and am a Peer Adviser (Orientation leader). I love baking, building lego sets, playing tennis, and eating. I am here for you! Taizo grew up in Los Angeles, California and attended the Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies. He is attending UCLA getting his undergraduate BS degree in Astrophysics. He currently works as a photographer for the UCLA Student Affairs Media Team, where he markets university-led events and initiatives for students along with a team of creatives. In the past, he’s worked as a research intern for the University of Washington Astrobiology Group and the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics.

Mohamad grew up in Northeast Philadelphia and attended Northeast High School’s Magnet and IB Program. He is currently attending the University of Pennsylvania getting his undergraduate degree in International Relations and Criminology. He has worked closely with high school students who have ambitions on attending 4-year universities, such as personal statement editing and ways to show demonstrated interest. Currently, Mohamad is an undergraduate researcher in University Scholars at Penn and plans to use the skills and experiences he has acquired to a career in the legal field.

Alma grew up in Baltimore, MD and attended Beth Tfiloh High School. She recently graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor of Arts in Honors Psychology and Dance. She has worked as a research assistant in multiple university psychology labs and projects. As such, she has extensive experience in research and writing, as well as teaching.

My name is Jonathan Yi, and I’m currently a dual-degree student at Northwestern University, studying Cello Performance and Cognitive Science. I grew up in Clarence, New York, and graduated from Clarence High School. I was raised by immigrant parents from Korea, and I’m bilingual in Korean and English. Being Korean American has shaped my perspective and upbringing, from navigating two cultures at once to finding independence in defining my path. I’m sharing my story here not just because I’ve been through the college admissions process, but because I now work as a college consultant for students like you. I know how overwhelming and stressful the process can feel. My hope is that by reading about my journey, you might feel less alone in yours.
